Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, or people. These systems have unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. Japanese company Systena attended the Expo to showcase the several services they offer. They deliver quality assurance testing and verification for various smartphone carriers and manufacturers while offering End-to-End SmartAttach IoT solution with LoRa network capabilities. Systena actively seek out to connect with American businesses to bring innovative products and services to the Japanese market.

Systena displayed their developed technologies and demoed how they used them to solve everyday parking and water waste problems. Systena’s technology helped one of the largest airports in Japan save over a million dollars in water waste. It was able to do so by using real-time data analysis to avoid disasters and use water efficiently, and installing an accurate water leak detection sensor made with LoRa technology that automatically shuts down water flow when the sensor contacts water. LoRa Technology is smart enough to send the collected data in a report to the SmartAttach server through the gateway. Systena also developed a smart parking service using LoRa.

With Systena’s smart parking technology, customers can find parking spaces with ease. The app  determines its pricing by spaces available. The app works by using the LoRa in parking spaces to monitor the spaces occupancy. The program watches the spaces and sends constant data feedback to the server. The smart parking application offers drivers real-time updates on all their smart devices and the ability to look for spaces ahead of time.

IoT is helping businesses manage data and customers. With data sharing and internal communication, attaining consumer information is key to helping companies understand patterns in customer behavior. Companies are taking advantage of this technology to improve their advertising and pinpoint their demographic on a more accurate level.

When there is a disconnect in inter-team communication, progression on projects can suffer. DevOps, short for developments and operations, is a phrase used to describe a type of nimble relationship between development and IT operations. Featured company CA Technologies has developed a system that will harmonize that relationship for businesses.

Agile management systems help developers, directors, and creators keep their eyes on a project from its growth until its completion. Businesses can change anything and test it in real time. CA Technologies also offers service virtualization. This service is the first solution of its kind that lets you simulate dependent systems. Customer behaviors virtual technology can help companies cut development time in half and boost deployment by 90%. CA offers great tools to help the enterprises of Businesses.

Now more than ever, companies are moving all their information into the cloud. Cloud computing is a type of Internet-based computing that provides shared computer processing resources and data to computers and other devices on demand. Cloud computing offers companies both IT service and financial flexibility. If there is an influx of bandwidth you can quickly scale up your capacity, paying as you go. Having a backup is another benefit of cloud integration. If something happens to your information, then It is easy to access all the backed-up files. Those are just a few of the many reasons why working with the cloud is in a business’s best interest.

For any business, moving to the Cloud can be tough. Featured company Outscale is known for making the process easier for business owners. Outscale offers comprehensive solutions to help businesses, at any stage of their journey, switch over to the Cloud. They offer Enterprise-Class Cloud solutions including computing, storage, and rendering with a focus on IaaS, PaaS, and Big Data as a service.

Another type of virtual technology is virtual reality. VR immerses its user into a whole new world. Being able to put on a headset and experience an augmented reality has limitless potential. IBM Bluemix set up an interactive VR server building game at this year’s Cloud Expo to get attendees excited about the possibilities of VR and learn about the benefits of using Bluemix. IBM Bluemix is a cloud platform that offers a modular set of infrastructure services. IBM Bluemix promises to simplify the process of building systems that use data to understand, reason, and learn.

IBM Bluemix server challenge IV VR game is fun and exciting. You face off against another opponent and see who can build a virtual server the fastest in a virtual server room. Those VR games take concentration, skill, and the quick wit to outsmart your competitor. It is easy to pick up but quite difficult to master. A game operator at the Expo explained that IBM would love to see VR technology go as far as being a tool to teaching server building and other IT services, but as for right now, it is just a fun head-to-head Virtual Reality game.

This year’s Cloud Expo had a mix of companies and services that are enriching the tech industry while helping business develop, become more Cloud based, and understand how integrating new systems will assist them in change for the future. With technology continuously advancing, expos such as this one are an excellent opportunity for business owners and enthusiasts to learn and see how these new processes in tech can benefit them.
